Operations Supervisor

A leading bus rapid transit transportation company is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join their team.

Requirements:

• B.degree (NQF level 7) in Logistics, Transport Management or Business Administration.
• Knowledge of Road Traffic rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the National Land Transportation Act.
• Knowledge of employment laws (OHS Act, BCEA, LRA, COIDA etc).
• Experience in the passenger transport services or bus industry.
• Experience in supervising a team.

Key performance areas:

To perform the following tasks:

• Plan and forecast the required resources to ensure that the planned schedule is executed as per the Bus Operating Company Agreement with the City of Johannesburg (BOCA).
• Supervise all administrative functions within the Operations department and monitor compliance to policies and procedures.
• Follow up on passenger complaints and monitor those complaints are resolved timeously.
• Participate in the recruitment of subordinates in consultation with the Operations Manager and Human Resources department.
• Supervise the performance of the Operations team to ensure 100% achievement of the schedule. If appropriate, apply the company disciplinary processes and procedures.
